Gap

Gap, Inc.

Can of Red founder, Ryan Bentz, had the opportunity to be a developer on Gap, Inc.'s re-platfrom of its three brand web sites Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic. He also worked on the user experience prototyping for internal content management system tools.

Leapfrog

Following a successful project with Leapfrog Schoolhouse, a branch of the larger Emeryville-based company Leapfrog, Can of Red was asked to write the front end code for the Leapfrog.com re-platform and re-design. Can of Red worked with the internal teams at Leapfrog to develop the code and handed it off to a third party vendor who took care of the platform integration.

Kwigy-bo

Kwigy-bo

Having had a web site done purely in Flash with very little room for new content or product photography, Kwigy-bo wanted a more functional and practical site through which they could sell product to wholesalers and retail consumers.

Nest Children

Nest Children

Nest makes children's clothing and accessories for moms that combine practicality and striking design features. Their web site had to merge classic and contemporary together in a similar fashion. The damask print used within their diaper bags as well as on their blankets served as the jumping off point for the design.

Leapfrog Schoolhouse

Leapfrog Schoolhouse

As part of their re-platform, Leapfrog Schoolhouse had to completely re-do every last piece of their front end code and user interface. Working with UEVision, a user experience conultant out of San Francisco, Can of Red delivered clean XHTML, CSS and JavaScript to help ensure their re-platform process would go as smoothly as possible.

Old Navy Online

Old Navy

Working as the creative technology team lead at Old Navy, Can of Red founder Ryan Bentz wrote front end code for much of their consumer facing marketing content. He also wrote code for internal productivity tools that continues to help the design and technology teams work together efficiently.

Rick LeBrasseur

Landscape architect and photographer Rick LeBrassuer wanted a place where he could send prospective clients to get a glimpse of his work. The portfolio site for his photography showcases his imagery in large format with muted colors behind it to accentuate the dynamic nature of his photos.

Banana Republic

While Can of Red founder Ryan Bentz also worked on the code to the checkout process at BananaRepublic.com, he also found time to do an eye candy project for Gap's luxury brand by developing their Summer '04 screensaver in Flash.

The Journals division at UC Press needed clean 508-compliant and WCAG AA compliant code for their re-design and re-platform. Can of Red was asked to write this front end code and provide it to a third party vendor for platform integration.

Groundwork Open Source

A leader in enterprise-class open source-based systems and network monitoring and management software, GroundWork Open Source needed help writing the front end code for an update of one of their flagship applications.
